What would the blend of cultures coexisting in Sicily sound like today? Through Cialoma, the richness that thrives within a single people—the Sicilians—will be explored. At the heart of the program is SIKELIA, an original composition by Fabio D'Alberti, Cristiano Valenti, and Marco Zappia, in which the harp experiments with different sounds and “faces,” unfolding across three distinct ensembles. The piece reflects the three faces of Sicily: its Greek heritage, its Arab-Norman legacy, and its Italian identity.
